Bridal Tiara

Which do you choose, a bridal tiara or a bridal hair comb? Let's discuss both of these bridal headdresses to see which one is best suited to your hair style.

Today's tiaras are not just the Cinderella style we all longed for as little princesses, now you can get coronet tiaras, side tiaras and assymetrical tiaras to name just three types. A coronet tiara is like a miniture crown and can either be made as a full circlet of wire work which is then added to with fresh water pearls, Swarovski crystals and other semi-precious stones. There are some that are made up mostly of wire work with just a few accents of Swarovski here and there. Then you can get the half coronets, these are a semi-circular shape that has hoops at each end with which to secure the headdress in position and the tiara is then built up a level at a time to create a three dimensional coronet. These are fantastic if you are intending to have your hair style half up and down, or if you are wearing a chignon.

A side tiara is biased down one side with the majority of the design work featured along one side edge of the headband. This gives a lovely illusion that your headdress is floating within your hair style and can look fantastic if you Trouwjurken Met Kant have curly hair or intend to have curls for your wedding day. If you have the sides of the tiara wrapped in the same colour pure silk as your hair, this adds to the illusion even more. There are some fabulous side tiaras out there, not to mention the excellent range of vintage Marcasite tiaras that are appearing on the market now. These are made using vintage Silver Marcasite brooches that are then wired into the design and in many cases are easily removed after the day to be worn as a brooch or decoration to a bag making them an heirloom ever after, something to keep and then pass on.

An assymetrical tiara is where you have a design on both sides of the headband but with the majority of the design on one side and a reduced amount of the design along the other side. You have to be cautious with this design as in some cases it can look like you are wearing a pair of 'minnie ears' on the photographs. Ensure you have a hair style that will assist with this design for example the styles where the hair is swept over to one shoulder. If you have the fuller part of the design on the opposite side of your head Trouwjurk 2012 to your hair with the minmal edge of the design where your hair is, this can look fantastic as your hair style and the assymetrical design of the bridal headdress balance each other out. Find a company that will work with your ideas, colour theme, style and budget to create the perfect bridal tiara just for you!
