4 Ways to Match Your Wedding Dress with Bridal Jewelry

A necklace can add the much needed glamour to your wedding gown; only if you choose wisely. Chokers, Y-chains, multi-layered chains, pendants and even elaborate chandelier designs are some of the few options available to a bride willing to make a bold statement with her jewelry on her wedding day.

You can go for the rustic look by choosing matte gold pieces, or choose to add some bling with diamonds. Swarovski crystals are fast becoming popular choices for wedding jewelry. If you want to add some color on yourself along with the white dress, you can go for precious and semi precious stones. Try to match them with the color of your eye to bring out the sparkle in them.

However, know when to stop. A lot of wedding gowns are enough on their own and don't nee any embellishments in terms of jewelry. A necklace can make you look like a dog in chains if it is not done right.

If you don't know what to do about your wedding jewelry, take a cue from your dress. The neckline plays an important role in choosing the necklace as well as the earrings.

For V-necks you must go with Y-chains. They bring out the collarbone perfectly and attract attention to the eyes. If you are wearing a plunging neckline you can accentuate the neckline by wearing layered chains of yellow or white gold. If you want to play safe by wearing square necks you should stick to something elegant such as a single thin chain with a diamond pendant.

Go easy on the earrings if your neck piece is imposing. You don't want people to get confused when they look at you. Try to avoid bracelets when you have both the necklace and the earrings. Earrings and bracelets, however, complement each other perfectly.

Whatever you do, remember this is the best day of your life, and you don't want to look like a mannequin.
